Around a third of patients admitted to hospital in the UK are at risk of malnutrition, but tube-fed patients with gastrointestinal disorders have a particularly high risk. These patients need a feed that’s high in energy and protein but, prior to the launch of Peptisorb Plus HEHP, feeds were often not tolerated by those with impaired GI function.
From this brief, we established a simple message: Peptisorb Plus HEHP provides tube-fed patients with nutrition that is both, heavy on protein and light on the gut. This led to the simple idea of presenting the tube-feed as a balloon.
